Title
Kaiser Foundation Medical Center
Waikiki
Waikiki
Description
The 150 bed 10-story hospital was completed in November 1958.
It overlooked the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor, and was designed that every patient room had a lanai and view of the harbor. One of the many firsts for a Hawaiian hospital was laying out the patient rooms around a center core for the nursing stations to improve efficiency.
The building was imploded in 1986 and the event was filmed for an episode of Magnum P.I.
